Easy Lamb Paper Plate Craft {Printable Template}
This cute paper plate lamb craft is an easy way to entertain toddlers or preschoolers. Grab the printable template and a few supplies and you’re ready to go.
You can use this activity as a spring lamb, a sheep, or a fun activity to go along with the nursery rhyme, “Mary had a little lamb”.

We love this easy sheep craft. It uses materials you probably already have at home cotton balls, paper plates, and black construction paper. Plus our printable template!
Use it as an Easter craft, a spring lamb craft for springtime, a fun craft to go along with the song “Mary had a little lamb”, or just as easy entertainment for your toddler or preschooler.
Sheep Craft Supplies
- Bag of Cotton balls
- Elmer’s glue or tacky glue
- Paper Plates
- Black construction paper
Directions
1 – Cut out the sheep template pieces. Use the template to cut out one big circle for the head and four of the oval pieces for the legs and ears. (The eyes can be cut out and set aside to be used as is)
2 – Cover the paper plate with glue and then cover it with a layer of cotton balls.
3 – Use glue to attach the large black circle for head. Then add the eyes, ears, and legs.
4 – Allow to dry completely. Attach a popsicle stick to the bottom if you want to add a handle.
5 – If desired, attach the lyrics for “Mary had a little lamb” onto the back.
Printable lamb craft template
The lamb craft template prints on 8.5″x11″ paper. It’s 3 sheets total, with a title page, template page, and page with the first two verses of “Mary had a little lamb” that you can tape onto the back of you lamb if desired.

Materials
- Bag of Cotton balls
- Paper Plates
- Black construction paper
Tools
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions
- Cut out the lamb template pieces. Set the eyes aside. Use the large circle and ovals as a template. You'll need one large circle and 4 small ovals cut out of black construction paper.
- Cover your paper plate in glue and coat it with a layer of cotton balls.
- Attach the head, eyes, ears, and legs on top of the cotton ball layer.
- If desired, glue the lyrics to "Mary had a little lamb" onto the back of the plate.
- Allow to dry completely.
