Homemade Koolaid Lollipops Recipe {Great for Kids}
What’s better than Kool-Aid and lollipops? Putting them together and creating kool-aid lollipops. It’s an easy project and kids will love seeing these through from start to finish, not to mention eating the lollipops when they’re done. Do you call them lollipops or suckers?!
This does require heating so this is a project where the kids will be assisting an adult in making them.

I grew up drinking kool-aid. I know a lot of us try to stay away from sugary drinks and treats these days but this recipe will make just a handful to be eaten as a special treat. Just be sure to give them long before bedtime and brush those teeth when they’re done!
Remember, lollipops and other hard candies can pose a choking hazard for young children. Do not give to very young kids and always supervise them while eating them.
Kool-Aid Lollipop Ingredients

- ½ cup water
- ⅓ cup light corn syrup
- 1 (0.16 ounce) packet Kool-Aid drink mix, any flavor
- Silicone lollipop mold (Buy on Amazon/Buy at Michaels)
- Lollipop sticks

Each batch makes one flavor of lollipops. You should get 6-8 lollipops per batch. Will vary depending on the size of the mold that you use and how much you put in each mold.

How to make kool-aid lollipops
I recommend reading through all these instructions before starting so you have everything ready to go. Candy can be temperamental so you have to move a bit quickly.
1 – Prep your candy mold with your lollipop sticks so they’ll be ready when your mixture is.
2 – In a medium saucepan over medium heat stir together the sugar, water, and corn syrup.
3 – Bring the mixture to a boil stirring constantly. As soon as it begins boiling stop stirring and stick in a candy thermometer.
4 – As soon as it reaches 295 degrees remove from heat and stir in the kool-aid powder.
5 – Once mixed, pour into the candy molds.
6 – Allow them to cool completely before removing them from the molds.
7 – If you have leftovers store them in an airtight container between waxed paper so they don’t get stuck together.
What flavor will you make? I hope your kids enjoy these as much as my daughter did! Check out our activities page for more fun ideas.
