I love this craft because it’s easy enough for even young kids to do.
Also, because it uses mostly items you already have in your home which means you may be able to skip the trip to the store!
Wreath Making Supplies
- Toilet Roll or Cardboard Tube
- Green Paint
- Sponge Brush
- Red pom poms (about 1/4 inch size)
- Glue and/or glue dots
- Red Ribbon or Christmas Bow
- Paper or styrofoam plate
- Scissors
How to make the Christmas Wreath
1 – Use the sponge brush to paint the toilet rolls green and allow them to dry. (You’ll need 2-3 tubes per wreath.)
2 – While your paint dries cut a large hold in the center of your paper plate.
3 – Once the toilet rolls have dried completely, cut each into three pieces.
4 – Glue the cardboard pieces around the hole on the plate. Leave space at the top or bottom for the bow.
5 – Make a bow out of a piece of ribbon and glue it to the top of the plate. You can also use a Christmas bow like the ones you put on a present.
6 – Glue small red pom poms to the cardboard pieces to create “holly berries” on the wreath.
If you don’t have pom-poms you could also bunch small squares of red tissue paper into balls and glue those on instead.
7 – Allow the glue to dry completely before displaying your Christmas wreath.
I hoped you enjoyed making this fun craft with your kids!
